COMMISSIONS

Vincenzo collaborates with architects, interior designers, landscape designers and private clients to create bespoke sculptures and lighting in bronze or plaster. Whether you wish to commission a portrait of a canine or equine friend or bring to life a special sculpture installation, discover below our guide to commissioning a bespoke piece.

STEP 1: ENQUIRY

Discuss your ideas with Vincenzo by email, telephone or in person. In the concept stage, Vincenzo will discuss the type and size of the sculpture, the pose, the medium, budget, time frame, location, and installation requirements.

Accordingly, Vincenzo will suggest whether sittings are necessary or organise a site visit to see the space for a monumental sculpture or sculpture installation. For animal portraits, Vincenzo can travel to you as he prefers to always sculpt from life.

STEP 2: QUOTATION & CONFIRMATION

We will follow up with a quotation and lead-time in writing. If you are happy to accept our quote, we’ll send you a deposit invoice. Once you’ve paid, we’ll provide a detailed timeline for the project. We’ll follow up with a meeting to discuss final details before the creation process begins.

STEP 3: CREATION

Once you’ve agreed the timeline, Vincenzo will commence the project. He begins by sculpting the subject in clay either during a sitting or in his studio. Once the modelling of the sculpture is finished, he creates a silicon mould which he takes to the foundry. A wax positive is then created to which Vincenzo makes final touches before it is cast in bronze using the lost wax casting method. The final stage of the creation process is to create the patina.

STEP 4: DELIVERY

When the bronze sculpture is ready, we’ll send you the remaining invoice including shipping costs and arrange delivery once payment has been received.
